About the Designer
The award-winning German-Algerian fashion designer, Meriem Lebdiri, was born in Algeria and raised in Germany, where she graduated from fashion college in 2010.
In addition to her work as a designer, she teaches costume design at the university. She is a peace ambassador and supports education programs.
The mother of two is a jury member and consultant in various young entrepreneur programs in the creative industry and Head of CoMF Europe, the Council of Modest Fashion.
Her first fashion brand MIZAAN (founded in 2012) has been presented in Dubai, London, Jakarta, Istanbul and Washington D.C.
Her eponymous luxury brand, which Meriem Lebdiri founded in summer 2021, advocates more diversity, equal opportunities and sustainability in the fashion industry.
The ML collections are worn by strong, self-confident women who love timeless, high-quality clothing.
With every product sold, an amount goes to NGOs in Germany and Algeria that stand up for education and women's rights.
The future we see for ourselves
"Through my work as a designer, speaker and consultant, I want to make women in the luxury segment visible who have hardly been represented before.
Sustainability and luxury complement each other wonderfully, which is why I combine both in my designs.
It is also important to me that my work contributes to equal opportunities, empowerment and the education of girls and women. With every product sold, a contribution goes to NGO projects in Germany and Algeria.
